3rd eLEANOR Dissemination Workshop

3rd eLEANOR Dissemination Workshop
organized within the
HydroEurope ( www.hydroeurope.org ) face-to-face activities
Sophia Antipolis (FR), 23rd and 27th of February 2012

Hydro-Europe is an Intensive Programme within the Socrates/Erasmus framework, initiated by:
1.    Université de Nice - Sophia Antipolis (France) and associated with six partners:
2.    Brandenburg University of Technology at Cottbus (Germany)
3.    Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain)
4.    Newcastle University (UK)
5.    Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland)
6.    Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium)

HydroEurope is dedicated to the students involved in several master degrees specialized on the water management and the hydro-technologies. The objectives of HydroEurope are to promote, in a global European vision, the key concepts, the methodologies, the tools and the good practices which are today essential for a sustainable water management. Today, the problems related to water are more and more complex and must be analyzed in a global way and with the right tools. The sophistication of the situations imposes to reconsider the way of working: new practices, new tools, new technologies and new ways of collaboration.
The seven partners of HydroEurope have decided to introduce this new concept into each local university program. They complement academic teaching and collaboration on exercises through the Internet by a 2 week phase of face-to-face meeting of all students and teachers in one place. During this time, gained experience will be exchanged and personal contacts will be established and deepened.
For the current academic year (2011 – 2012), the HydroEurope face-to-face activities are scheduled from 13thto 24th of February at Polytech’Nice Sophia.

The 3rd eLEANOR Workshop is scheduled as following:
•    On the 23rd of February, on the occasion of the HydroEurope face-to-face activities, a first dissemination will be done to all participants.
•    On the 27th of February, a second and more detailed dissemination will be done to Euroaquae students.
The workshop is aimed, at first, to introduce and disseminate the eLEANOR Project in the EU water community (academics and future engineers in the water sector). Secondly, the workshop also presents an occasion to disseminate the training activities done at business level within industrial partners.

The agenda of eLEANOR workshop will be:
•    23rd February, 1400h:  General presentation of the eLEANOR Project to the HydroEurope participants (students and their supervisors) from industrial partners. Feedbacks on the investigated training needs will be collected as a further validation of the analysis carried out;
•    27th February:  Presentation of the eLEANOR Project and presentation of the Job Profiles and Business Processes in the water sector, as well as the Training Catalogue to the EuroAquae students.

eLEANOR 2nd Newsletter

Recently, eLEANOR has conducted a survey on training needs based on a matrix, consisting of Job Profiles (JPs) and Business Processes (BPs). A catalogue for available training module collection has been developed together with a catalogue for training good practices. In order to make them effective, they are built up by streamlining the JPs and BPs.

In the current phase, the two catalogues are being implemented into the eLEANOR platform.

In this respect, eLEANOR has announced a call for Training Good Practices collection and a call for Training modules available (both call are announced below in the News section).

Moreover, please, see recently published Newsletter No. 2 ( PDF , 900KB ). In the second issue, you can find introduction to the project and its current status, description of the work packages methodology, lists of selected BPs and JPs (thoroughly discussed with the professionals), and a call for training good practices.

Call for available Training Modules

This is an announcement of a call for available training modules

The purpose is to collect and share information describing training modules on water management proposing unified information of training modules, allowing searching and clustering them according to relevant topics.
The provision information on training modules should be then addressed to the training modules, materials or sessions related to the Business Processes (BPs) and the Job Profiles (JPs) in the water sector as listed in the form.

We would like to invite all the interested contributors to download a form (DOC , 350KB) and fill in the information available.

Please, fill-in one form for each module/material/session you wish to share with your colleagues.

Once filled in, please send it to contact@e-leanor.eu.

The form includes two parts, 1st one being the mandatory part and the 2nd one representing optional part left for your consideration to be filled in.
The information on the Training Modules will be then collected in a Catalogue available from the project home page.

Call for Training Good Practices

This is an announcement of a call for training good practices

The purpose of eLEANOR about “Training Good Practices” is to collect and share training experiences in the Water sector.
The aim is to collect any practice considered useful to be shared, both from the partners of the project and from interested stakeholder that will be further invited to join the eLEANOR Community.
The description could not only refer to the current state but also indicate how the practice could be improved.
The collection of Practice should be then addressed to the training experiences related to the Business Processes (BPs) and the Job Profiles (JPs).

We would like to invite all the interested contributors to download a template ( DOC , 0.5MB) and fill in all its parts according to the information available.

Please, fill-in one template for each case you wish to share with your colleagues.

Once filled in, please send it to eLeanor Project Office’s e-mail address gisig(at)gisig.it.

The template offers as well the possibility to indicate specific training actions adopted, if any, considering the final goal of eLEANOR, that is devoted to the training of different professional categories in the water sector.

The Good Practices will be then collected in a Catalogue available from the project home web page.
The Catalogue is a living inventory updated with the progress of the project and is forseen to propose meaningful information and is considered as a tool to exchange information across Countries and organisations and in this way to promote the participation of a wide audience of stakeholders wishing to share their own training experience in a view of eLeanor Community.
